Di Matteo hails Baggies attitude after Greening departure

Roberto Di Matteo praised his West Brom players for moving on following the departure of influential captain Jonathan Greening - a deal he feels was the right one for all parties involved. After much speculation the midfielder this week completed a season-long loan to Fulham with a view to a permanent deal, but Albion showed no signs of missing the former Manchester United and Middlesbrough man as they brushed aside Ipswich 2-0 on Saturday. Di Matteo said: "Credit to the boys because they have kicked on without Greening. "He was a great servant to the club but you have to move on. "I would have loved him to stay but at the end of the day it was the right decision for the club and the player."
