Changes at the ready for Keane
Published : 21 Aug 2009 11:01:00

Ipswich manager Roy Keane is set to make changes for the trip to West Brom as he looks for a first win of the season. Keane saw his side slip to a 3-1 home defeat to Crystal Palace in midweek and hinted that midfielders Owen Garvan and Alan Quinn and forward Jon Stead could all come back into the starting XI after impressing from the bench. Reserve goalkeeper Shane Supple has retired from football so youth team player Ian McLoughlin will be on the bench unless Keane manages to bring in a loan signing before Saturday. Forward Pablo Counago managed 60 minutes for the reserves in midweek after being out since the first day of pre-season with a groin injury but is short of match fitness and will not feature while Ben Thatcher remains sidelined with a knee problem. Midfielders Luciano Civelli and David Norris are both out until 2010 with knee injuries but Jaime Peters could be back after missing the Palace defeat with a twisted ankle.
