Cech plots Baggies escape

Unhappy West Bromwich Albion defender Marek Cech has confirmed his intention to leave the club at the end of the season.

The Slovakia international has started only two Premier League games for the Baggies this season following his arrival last summer from FC Porto.

Cech fears his lack of competitive action could cost him his place in the international setup.

"My season here at West Brom is the worst of my career. For sure I'm looking to a change of club because of this year," he revealed.

"I think things won't change here, I need to leave to play whole games.

"I'm a national player, I need to play. If I don't play I will lose my place in the national team.

"We are first in the qualifying table now, we have a big chance to go to the World Cup and if I'm not there I'd be very sad."
