Baggies track Mallorca's Trejo

West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Mowbray has admitted that his club are still keeping tabs on Real Mallorca's Argentinian forward Oscar Trejo.

The 20-year-old has only been a bit-part player for the Spanish club so far this season, having also been a target for the Baggies in the summer.

Mowbray told the Birmingham Mail: "Trejo is someone we were connected with and we made enquiries about.

"As far as I know, I don't think he is getting a game for Real Mallorca at the moment.

"I'm not sitting here thinking 'wow, he's someone we need to go and get in for January or that he's definitely coming in during January'. That's not the case.

"But I'm not going to deny he was a player we looked at and was someone we could potentially bring in.

"However, he's not playing for his side at the moment and is only a young player, about 20 years old. So let's wait and see what happens."
