Baggies seal Reid capture

West Bromwich Albion have won the race the sign highly-rated Rotherham United forward Reuben Reid.

The 21-year-old moves to The Hawthorns for an undisclosed fee, penning a two-year contract with the Baggies, with an option for a further 12 months.

Albion boss Roberto Di Matteo told the club's official website:" Reuben is a young, exciting, talented player. He has a lot of potential to improve.

"He scored a lot of goals last season and has a lot of pace. He will give us a different option.

"We have signed Reuben as a squad member and everyone is going to have to be patient as we slowly introduce him."

Reid scored 19 goals for the Millers last season, having started his career with Plymouth Argyle.

While with the Pilgrims, Reid spent time on loan at Kidderminster Harriers, Rochdale, Torquay United, Wycombe Wanderers and Brentford.
