West Bromwich Albion beat the deadline day clock to sign Hearts striker Roman Bednar on a season-long loan.
The 24-year-old Czech Republic international, who hasn't featured for the Scottish club this season due to a calf problem, officially signed for the Baggies just 15 minutes before the transfer window closed at midnight.
Bednar will compete for a starting place alongside Kevin Phillips, Craig Beattie, Bartosz Slusarski, Ishmael Miller and Sherjill MacDonald.
"Due to Roman's injury, he's not going to come straight into the team, but we're delighted to have him here," Albion manager Tony Mowbray told the club's official website.
"I think the fans will take to him because he has a great passion for the game. Roman is a fighter who chases lost causes and can lead the line.
"When you ally that to his hunger for goals and his technical ability, he can be a real handful."
