Baggies keeper heads home

West Bromwich Albion goalkeeper Pascal Zuberbuhler has quit The Hawthorns and returned to Switzerland with second division outfit Neuchatel Xamax. The veteran Swiss international was signed by former Baggies boss Bryan Robson on a free transfer in the summer, but has failed to impress Tony Mowbray since he arrived at the club in October. Zuberbuhler, 36, was dropped from the side after a 3-3 draw with QPR in late October and only returned for last month's FA Cup defeat at Wolves. The former FC Basel keeper has returned to his homeland on a free transfer before the Swiss transfer window closed on Thursday.
