West Bromwich Albion are celebrating a double after Roberto Di Matteo won the Premier League Manager of the Month award for September, with Peter Odemwingie taking the player's honour. The Baggies enjoyed a fine month as they took seven points from a possible nine, drawing 1-1 at home to Tottenham Hotspur before enjoying a 3-1 derby success over Birmingham City at The Hawthorns. Albion rounded off the month with a stunning 3-2 victory at Arsenal, having also disposed of Manchester City 2-1 in the third round of the Carling Cup during September. Nigeria international frontman Odemwingie found the net against both the Blues and the Gunners and has now scored three goals in five appearances since his arrival from Lokomotiv Moscow.
