Baggies bring in Chile star

West Brom boss Roberto di Matteo has brought the Chile international Gonzalo Jara to The Hawthorns in a £1.4million deal.

The 23-year-old joins Albion on a three-year contract from Colo Colo, and there is also a further 12-month option in the club's favour.

Di Matteo said of his latest signing: "Gonzalo is an exciting, quick, technical and aggressive player.

"He's a Chile international and very versatile, which will give me good options. He's still young and has a strong desire to achieve.

"Gonzalo wants to go to that next level and prove himself in Europe."
