West Brom manager Tony Mowbray praised the lethal finishing of Roman Bednar after his brace in the 2-1 victory over Plymouth Argyle.
The on-loan Hearts striker marked his first start for the Baggies with two first-half goals at Home Park on Wednesday to the delight of Mowbray.
Bednar was only playing due to injuries to the regular strike partnership of Ishmael Miller and Kevin Phillips.
"Roman has had to be patient but has taken the opportunity and got two goals," said Mowbray after seeing the Baggies move up to second place in the table.
"That's what he needed to do and I have watched him in training and he proved it again tonight. He is a clinical finisher.
"The players all felt we had done well enough to get more goals in the first half.
"In the second half we had to defend and we showed a different side of our game and got another win.
"It was important that we won again. It's important to keep winning, that's what it is all about."
