Albion win Mowbray praise
14 Feb 2007 - 10:12:37
West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Mowbray praised the spirit of his players after they secured a 2-1 victory at Colchester United to boost their hopes of a Premiership return.
Goals from Paul McShane and Diomansy Kamara gave the Baggies the points and inflicted a first home defeat in 15 games on the U's.
Mowbray said afterwards: "I think my players showed a lot of togetherness and determination.
"We're on a decent run at the moment and we want to keep that going.
"We have immense respect for Colchester and that's why we built this game up to almost like a cup final.
"I thought we thoroughly deserved this win. It was a job well done and we got what we deserved. This was a big win for us."
