West Brom boss Tony Mowbray has confirmed that he hopes to sign Manchester City striker Ishmael Miller.
The 20-year-old was linked with a move to The Hawthorns in the weekend newspapers, and Mowbray admits he is a big fan of the highly-rated 20-year-old.
He told Albion's official website: "Ishmael's a young player who's been on the fringes at Man City in a difficult period for their club.
"He'd play as a striker if we manage to bring him in. He'd offer different assets to what we've already got at our club.
"He's a big, powerful, quick boy. He's played a lot of reserve matches and is someone who needs exposure on the football pitch."
Miller has made 20 appearances for City, 17 of them from the substitute's bench, since making his debut for the club in March 2006.
