Albion loan suits Simpson

West Brom appear to be on the verge of snapping up Arsenal youngster Jay Simpson on loan in the January transfer window.

Baggies boss Tony Mowbray is keen to bolster his attacking options having recently lost Ishmael Miller to long-term injury.

"I feel that if I'm called upon I could answer some questions but I want to be playing as well so it's a good chance to go out and get some games," said the 20-year-old.

"Obviously if I'm playing regularly I'm only going to improve. West Brom play good football and if I get chances to score I intend to take them.

"I've always wanted to play in the Premier League, it's always been one of my goals.

"I'm just going to go there and try my hardest and try to score as many goals as I can."
