West Bromwich Albion have signed Chelsea youngster Shaun Cummings on loan to cover for injured right-back Gianni Zuiverloon.
The 20-year-old defender moves to The Hawthorns on a month's loan to provide cover for boss Roberto Di Matteo, a former Blues player.
Di Matteo moved to sign Cummings after Zuiverloon injured his hamstring in Saturday's 1-0 victory over Nottingham Forest, leaving him without a recognised fit full-back in his first-team squad.
Cummings spent time on loan at Milton Keynes Dons in the 2008/09 season, who were under the stewardship of Di Matteo last term.
He made 35 appearances for the League One outfit, who went close to achieving promotion to the Championship.
