Zola hits back at West Ham co-owners Sullivan and Gold over wage cut shock
West Ham manager Gianfranco Zola has accused the club's owner David Sullivan of undermining his team as they prepare for a must-win game against Birmingham City on Wednesday night.[LNB]Zola was incensed by Sullivan's comments that he and all the players will be asked to take a 25 per cent pay cut due to the crippling financial situation.[LNB] What's going on? I came here because I had a plan and a project and I liked what I was going to do.[LNB]'After a while the club called me in and proposed me a new contract. It's not about money, it's about working for something positive.[LNB]'Personally, I'm not here for the money. When I signed a contract I didn't even know how much I was going to earn.'.
