Zola happy to move on after win

Gianfranco Zola drew a line under his spat with new co-owner David Sullivan after watching his side earn their first win under the new regime over Birmingham. A goal in each half from Alessandro Diamanti and Carlton Cole lifted West ham to 14th place in the Barclays Premier League. But the build-up to the game had all been about Sullivan's public outburst that the wage bill requires slashing and that Zola's future is secure. But Zola was reluctant to let the matter overshadow a fine win for his side even though Diamanti, followed by four other players, dived on the Italian coach after the striker's opening goal. "Alessandro is very good at taking free-kicks," said Zola. "He scored a really great goal and his performance was excellence. It was just a celebration because we are going through a difficult moment and we want to stick together, there was no other message than we are together - the players and the staff. "We care about this club and want to be successful. It was a good gesture and I appreciated it. It means we are all going in the same direction and it is vital to do well. What happened yesterday is past. It does not matter. It is the end of the story."
