West Ham manager Gianfranco Zola believes his side deserve to qualify for Europe but insists it is too early to deem his reign as a success.[LNB] The Italian welcomes former club Chelsea, who sit third in the Premier League, to Upton Park on Saturday with hopes of an upset in East London.[LNB]West Ham currently occupy seventh spot in the table which should secure a spot in the maiden campaign of the Europa League, a destiny Zola feels his players have earned.[LNB]However, the former Italy international recognises that Fulham and a rejuvenated Tottenham will offer fierce competition for a top-seven place in the final games of the season.[LNB]When asked about qualifying for Europe, Zola told Sky Sports' Off The Bar show: "Now we have this possibility, I believe the club deserves this achievement.[LNB]"But it won't be easy because Fulham and also Tottenham are fighting very hard and they will be difficult. But we will give it our best shot that is for sure."[LNB]AdmirationZola, though, has refused to accept admiration for the job he has performed in the capital since arriving last September.[LNB]The 42-year-old has transformed the Hammers from relegation contenders to European candidates, but he is adamant that it is premature for praise.[LNB]"It is still too early to say. It is still early stages," he added. [LNB]"It is not a secret that I tried to play football in the right way and I try to do the same as a manager.[LNB]"The good thing is that I am surrounded by good people and my staff are excellent.[LNB]"The players like what we are doing and they are brilliant. Everything is happening together so I am very pleased."[LNB]
