Williams race hots up

The race for Stockport County goalkeeper Owain Fon Williams is hotting up after the club went into administration this week, skysports.com understands.[LNB] The Welsh shot-stopper is regarded as County's most prized asset and now clubs are ready to take advantage of Stockport's perilous position by luring him away.[LNB]Williams is now set to have his pick of clubs, with Premier League and Championship teams doing battle for his services.[LNB]The 22-year-old is currently overcoming a shoulder operation, but he is expected to feature for Wales in the summer and earn his first caps for his country as they face Estonia and Azerbaijan.[LNB]But Williams could very well have new employers before his international commitments kick in.[LNB]Everton, West Ham, Sunderland, Ipswich and Leeds are all understood to have made contact about a possible deal.[LNB]
