West Ham target Toni will leave Bayern but striker hopes for Italy return

Bayern Munich president Franz Beckenbauer has reluctantly admitted Luca Toni is likely to leave the club in January.   [LNB]Toni has had limited opportunities under new Bayern boss Louis van Gaal and his frustration surfaced during the recent game against Schalke when he left the stadium after being substituted at half-time.   [LNB]Beckenbauer is a fan of the Italy striker but concedes he will be leaving the Allianz Arena in the near future.   [LNB] Homeward bound: Italian Toni is set to return to Serie A[LNB]He told Gazzetta dello Sport: 'I like Toni as a player and as a person. He has done a lot in Munich and Bayern have given a lot to him.   [LNB]'I would like to keep him but if he wants to go then he should go.'[LNB]Hammers boss Gianfranco Zola is an admirer of the big forward and has been linked with a move for the player.[LNB]  But he likely to miss out as Toni admits he has made mistakes in Bavaria and is keen to restore his reputation in his homeland.   [LNB]'I miss everything from my country - the fans, my friends, my mother,' he told Italian magazine Chi.
