West Ham sign Pompey keeper Henderson

Portsmouth goalkeeper Stephen Henderson has joined West Ham on loan for the rest of the season with a view to a permanent deal.

Trevor Birch revealed that Pompey have received a "significant sum of money" that will go towards keeping the club alive.

Former West Ham midfielder Hayden Mullins has also left Pompey for Reading. The Pompey midfielder, who had started every match this season also moves to the Royals on loan for the rest of the season.

Michael Appleton earlier revealed that he didn't start against Brighton because "his head wasn't in the right place".
