West Ham reject bid from Fiorentina for defender Matthew Upson
West Ham have rejected a bid from Italian side Fiorentina for England defender Matthew Upson.
Aston Villa are also chasing Upson but the Hammers are reluctant to let him leave.
Villa may turn to Wales international James Collins, who is the cheaper option at around £5m, with Upson likely to cost twice the amount.
Hammers boss Gianfranco Zola will only let one of his centre-backsleave Upton Park.
