West Ham re-consider 12million pound move for Bony after fearing Carroll snub

West Ham United are considering a £12m bid for Eredivise star Wilfred Bony after a £15m bid for Andy Carroll looks unlikely.

The Hammers looked like they’d signed their loanee, Andy Carroll for a £15m deal, but after West Ham failed to offer a £100,000 a week contract.

Carroll is on holiday in the United States, but is due to return soon. West Ham manager Sam Allardyce had hoped to hear from Carroll last week but now fears that he will not be joining them, even though it is unlikely he will receive a better offer elsewhere.

Bony, 24, is already an international footballer after already winning 18 capps for Ivory Coast and he has scored on 6 occasions.

West Ham have already had a £14.5m bid for Sevilla striker Alvaro Negredo rejected and the Hammers look like they are moving back to their previous target Wilfred Bony, who is attracting interest from all over England, with Chelsea, Newcastle and Stoke all watching him.

If West Ham fail to secure Bony, they have also given consideration to making bids for either Stuttgart’s Martin Harnik, an Austrian international who can play on the wing, Eintracht Frankfurt’s Algerian international Karim Matmour or fellow Ivorian forward Salomon Kalou.
