West Ham's players and coaching staff face a massive wage cut in the summer while further job cuts are also expected elsewhere as part of a scaling back process to keep the club away from financial 'Armageddon'.[LNB]Gianfranco Zola and his under-performing players could see their pay cheque slashed by 25 per cent, even if they slip free of the clutches of relegation, according to reports in The Sun. [LNB]The Hammers are saddled with whopping debts of more than £100million and co-owners David Sullivan and David Gold are on a mission to rid the club of what they call the 'fat cat' culture of the previous regime.[LNB] Gold rush: Co-owners David Gold (left) and David Sullivan (right) are on a massive cost-cutting exercise at West Ham[LNB]Financial recklessness: Kieron Dyer has made just five starts for the Hammers while earning a £70,000 a week contract[LNB]Sullivan said: 'I can't believe the contracts I have inherited. Every position is overpaid, whether in administration or on the playing side. [LNB]'We have made cutbacks already but may have to make another 20 or 30 people redundant in the summer. The club is in a mess, everyone has to pull together.'[LNB]He added: 'Everywhere you look there is excess. Everyone is overpaid for the jobthey do. [LNB]'There are 110 mobile phones being paid for by the club and youhave minor people with Blackberry phones and other types.[LNB]'Already members of the administrative staff have come to us and said, "look we know we are overpaid for the job we do but we are good people and we'd like to stay and we are prepared to take a voluntary wage cut".'[LNB]Sullivan and Gold are refusing to take a wage from the club they have their heart set on saving. [LNB]The pair are fearful of following a similar path to that of Leeds and Newcastle who failed spectacularly as they attempted to live beyond their means.[LNB]Sullivan added: 'It'll be more Armageddon if we go down. It'll be worse that what has gone on at Newcastle.'[LNB]An emblem of the reckless financial management of Bjorgolfur Gudmundon is Kieron Dyer, as exclusively revealed by Sportsmail on Tuesday. The crocked midfielder has collected a staggering £70,000 a week in the two and a half years since he joined the club, mustering a pitiful five starts in that time. [LNB]A 'player liaison officer', who is reportedly a close family friend of a former West Ham employee, earns £50,000 a year to simply drive the players around. Their role is under scrutiny as is the fee - £200,000 a year - paid to a fitness coach. Controversial technical director Gianluca Nani is also high on the hit list. [LNB] Dyer straits!
