West Ham legend Tony Cottee has called on the club's owners to sack under-fire manager Avram Grant to give the club any chance of survival this season.[LNB]The Hammers are bottom of the Barclays Premier League with just two wins from 18 games under Grant this season after he replaced Gianfranco Zola in the Upton Park hot seat earlier in the summer.[LNB]There is growing concern that West Ham are heading for the Championship, and Cottee, who scored 116 goals during in two spells at the club, has urged co-chairmen David Sullivan and David Gold to wield the axe now before it's too late.[LNB] Under pressure: Avram Grant is fighting to save his job at West Ham[LNB]'It's the time to do it. If you're going to do you've got to do it in conjunction with the January window,' he told talkSPORT radio.[LNB]'They're bottom of the league, they haven't won away from home for 27 games I think it is now, and all the West Hams we just expect to go down at the moment.'[LNB] [LNB]Make a change: Hammers hero Cottee has called for Grant to go[LNB]Despite guiding the club to the Carling Cup semi-final, Grant is said to be on borrowed time as he fights to keep hold of his job, needing a win from the club's next two fixtures to safeguard his position.[LNB]The Hammers face London rivals Fulham at Craven Cottage on Boxing Day and entertain Everton at home on December 28 desperate for wins to reverse their poor form.[LNB]But Cottee warns the damage could be done if Sullivan and Gold stall, insisting immediate action is crucial in order to afford the new boss enough time to make vital changes.[LNB]He added: 'Something's got to happen, they've got to change something or other and the only change they can make really is replacing the manager.[LNB]'They've got some tough games, Fulham away, then they're home to a team in form in Everton, then they're home to Wolves, which is a massive game, followed by Newcastle away and Arsenal at home so the games don't get any easier.[LNB]'If you're going to change the manager change him now, at the start of January, and get the new manager in place and give him some money.'[LNB] Sinking feeling: West Ham are rooted to the foot of the table with just two league wins from 18 games this season[LNB]Former Blackburn Rovers boss Sam Allardyce is the current bookies' favourite to replace Grant, should West Ham sack the increasingly under pressure Israeli boss.[LNB]  You're not wanted in the East End!
