West Ham have turned their attention to Udinese striker Antonio Floro Flores in case their pursuit for Hoffenheim hitman Demba Ba fails to materialise.

The Senegal international offered a clear hint that the deal was back on after the German club warned the Hammers that the 25-year-old star was not for sale.

But Flores has emerged as an alternative option wit the Barclays Premier League bottom club are eager to recruit a new forward as they battle to stay in the top-flight.

The 27-year-old is under contract at Udinese until 2014 and the Serie A outfit would demand around £4million for his services, representing cheaper value than the £6m stated to seal Demba Ba.

According to reports in Italy, West Ham face competition from Fiorentina and Genoa for the quick-footed attacker who has scored three goals in 12 games this term.

Demba Ba, however, is refusing to give up on his mooted move to Upton Park, revealing Hoffenheim could back-track and now listen to offers to sell him.
