West Ham demand ex-Hammer Alessandro Diamanti suspension

West Ham United have asked that ex-Hammer striker Alessandro Diamanti's registration at Brescia is suspended by the Italian Football Federation.The East London club claim the latest instalment of Diamanti's £2m transfer fee from Brescia has not yet been paid. [LNB]The 28-year-old joined the Hammers in 2009 from Livorno for £6m but scored only eight goals in 30 appearances. [LNB]He left West Ham for Brescia after one season but has since been rewarded with his first cap for Italy. [LNB]A statement from West Ham read: "Due to the failure of Brescia to pay the latest instalment fee, West Ham have asked the FIGC (Italian Football Federation) to suspend the player's registration and requested that the national association and FIFA impose sporting sanctions until the matter is resolved."
