West Ham and Millwall preparing for Football Association charges

The game was halted by three pitch invasions while outside the ground a Millwall supporter was stabbed and 13 people were arrested. Both clubs could be warned or heavily if they are charged and found guilty. And West Ham even face the threat of being forced to play a game behind closed doors if they fail to prove they made adequate security arrangements for the second round tie they won 3-1 in extra time. The FA are also investigating claims that West ham striker Carlton Cole and Millwall’s Jason Price suffered racial abuse. Meanwhile, West Ham manager Gianfranco Zola has refuses to take credit for Cole’s success Cole has been quick to praise Zola for the improvement that has seen the striker emerge as an England player. But Zola claims Cole is too quiet and insists he does not deserve the credit for turning around Cole’s fortunes and form, preferring to praise the player himself for working hard to improve as much as he has in recent times. “Carlton is very humble and sometimes he's too quiet,” Zola said. “He just needed to realise how good he was - perhaps he didn't know. “He didn't realise what he was capable of and so we try to speak to him every week showing what he was doing and what he was good at. “We try to look after him in every aspect of his game and his mental approach. People try to give me credit but actually it's all down to him.” Zola takes Cole and his team-mates to Manchester City on Monday, where they will face former West Ham striker Craig Bellamy
