West Ham 1 Man City 1: Zola's Italian job nears end while Mancini's seems set to continue

So, which of these two Italian coaches deserves to keep their job? Gianfranco Zola, who has just led West Ham to their lowest ever Premier League points tally, or Roberto Mancini, who failed to achieve Champions League football for Manchester City despite the untold millions.[LNB]The answer is probably both of them, but the likelihood is that only Mancini will be a Barclays Premier League boss next season. [LNB] Midfield tussle: West Ham United's Luis Boa Morte battles it out with City's Shaun Wright-Phillips[LNB] [LNB]Zola will sit down with West Ham co-owners David Gold and DavidSullivan on Tuesday to discuss his future, although that talk willprobably not touch on more than the size of his pay-off.[LNB]Does he want to stay? 'That is a question I will answer after Ispeak to the owners,' replied Zola. 'We will have a long andinteresting chat. For me, football has always been a joy, always apleasure. Football has always been part ofmy life, always one of the main things. I need it but in a certain way.'[LNB]The conditions Zola requires are highly unlikely to be met whileSullivan and company would already seem to have decided that a newmanager and new players are needed. [LNB]By contrast, City are adamant that the support Mancini has receivedfrom chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak does not amount to the dreaded voteof confidence despite the fifth-placed finish. [LNB]Mancini will travel to Abu Dhabi this week to discuss, among otherthings, transfer targets, saying: 'If we finished in the top four, itwould be better and easier to attract stars. [LNB]'In this situation it is different. There are probably some playerswho want to play in the Champions League and not in the Europa League. [LNB]'But there are a lot of players in Europe who will want to play for Manchester City next year.'[LNB]A few might not, with Craig Bellamy, whose absence on Sunday was explained away by an ankle injury, tipped to leave. [LNB]MATCH FACTS WEST HAM (4-4-1-1): Green 7; Faubert 6, Da Costa 6, Upson 5, Daprela 5; Diamanti 7 (Spence 88min), Parker 8, Kovac 7, Boa Morte 7 (Stanislas 64, 6); Ilan 7; Cole 6 (Franco 64, 6).[LNB]Booked: Boa Morte, Daprela.[LNB]MANCHESTER CITY (4-2-4): Fulop 7; Zabaleta 7, Toure 6, Kompany 6, Sylvinho 6 (Richards 73, 6); De Jong 6, Vieira 6; Wright-Phillips 7, Adebayor 6, Santa Cruz 5 (Tevez 73, 6), A Johnson 8 (Cunningham 89).[LNB]Man of the match: Adam Johnson.[LNB]Referee: Howard Webb. [LNB]Carlos Tevez has had his differences with Mancini, although the Cityboss insisted there had been no need to clear the air with theArgentinian forward despite his recent forthright interview inSportsmail.[LNB]At least Tevez's introduction with 17 minutes to go livened things up at Upton Park. [LNB]Luis Boa Morte gave West Ham the lead in the 17th minute on hisreturn after over a year out with cruciate knee ligament damage. [LNB]But four minutes later Shaun Wright-Phillips rose to head the equaliser. [LNB]With the game petering out, on came Tevez.[LNB]'Tevez loves us more than you,' teased the locals. Given his recentdeclarations about his love of Upton Park and dislike of Mancini'straining methods, they may well have a point.[LNB] [LNB] For all the up-to-date Premier League scores and stats For all the final day Premier League news West Ham 1 Man City 1: Wright-Phillips and Johnson boost England hopes in front of Capello's number twoMancini warns 'lazy' City stars training will get even harder next seasonWest Ham fans to buy in as owners David Sullivan and David Gold increase shareWest Ham midfielder Collison faces nine months out after knee surgery[LNB] [LNB]
