Email thom.gibbs@telegraph.co.uk or tweet @thomgibbs with the answer to this question: What steps are you taking to make this Sunday more super? Latest WEST BROM 0 WEST HAM 0 (Kick off 16.00) 15.40 I believe it's about time for some foolhardy predictions. Here goes: • Carlton Cole will score a goal • Andy Carroll will not • ...because he's out injured • West Bromwich Albion will score two goals • The final score will be 2-1 to West Brom • There will be exactly 14 corners during the game • Sam Allardyce will slump so far down his chair in the dugout that it's a wonder he doesn't fall off and do himself a mischeif • I will mispell Odemwingie or Jaaskelainen at least once each. Anything to add? Get in touch via the means suggested above. 15.30 This young West Ham fan outside the Hawthorns looks about as excited as you'd expect to receive an autograph from Sam Allardyce: 15.15 Here are your football teams: West Brom: Myhill, Jones, McAuley, Olsson, Popov, Brunt, Morrison, Mulumbu, Gera, Odemwingie, Long. Subs: L Daniels, Dorrans, Rosenberg, Lukaku, Fortune, Tamas, Dawson. West Ham: Jaaskelainen, Demel, O'Brien, Reid, Collins, Noble, O'Neil, Nolan, Jarvis, Cole, Taylor. Subs: Spiegel, Tomkins, Spence, Moncur, Lletget, Maiga. Referee: Phil Dowd 15.00 Afternoon liveblog fans. It's one of those Super Sundays which may raise the eyebrows of keen students of the trade descriptions act. West Brom: organised, functional, slightly out of form. West Ham: organised, functional, slightly less out of form. West Brom have lost three on the bounce, West Ham three of their last four. There was that exciting win against Chelsea within that run for Sam Allardyce's side. Hooray! But then they're away from home this afternoon, where they've rarely been excellent so far this season. Booooo! If it looks like a stalemate and it smells like a stalemate then it probably is a friend of yours that's wearing clothes he's had on for four days. Or a low-scoring snoozefest. As ever, we live in hope. This is football after all. Good old football. If nothing else I'm convinced we're all going to have a delightful time with one another over the coming three or so hours. Team news and optimism to follow, stay tuned. Let's get rrrrrrrrrrrready to.... rrrrrrrrrread a match preview: Sunday, December 16 West Bromwich Albion v West Ham United Kick-off: 16.00 GMT TV: Live Sky Sports 1, highlights BBC ONE Match of the Day2. WBA (Possible, 4-2-3-1): Myhill; Reid, Mcauley, Olsson, Ridgewell; Morrison, Mulumbu; Gera, Odemwingie, Brunt; Long. Out: Dawson (eye), Foster (groin), Ridgewell (ankle). Test: Yacob (hamstring). West Ham (Possible, 4-2-3-1): Jaaskelainen; Demel, Collins, Reid, O’Brien; Moble, Maiga; Taylor, Nolan, Jarvis; Cole. Out: Diame (hamstring), Benayoun, Carroll, Collison (all knee), Vaz Te (shoulder), Diarra (thigh). Test: McCartney (knee). Referee: Phil Dowd (Matches 10, R2 Y28). Team News West Ham's injury worries have deepened ahead of their Premier League trip to West Brom with defender George McCartney now a major doubt. McCartney injured a knee during training this week and is unlikely to feature at the Hawthorns. The setback is a fresh blow to Allardyce, who has also lost Mohamed Diame after he pulled up in last weekend's defeat to Liverpool. Yossi Benayoun, Andy Carroll and Jack Collison (all knee), Ricardo Vaz Te (shoulder) and Alou Diarra (thigh) are all missing for the Hammers. Match Notes Steve Clarke was named November's manager of the month but has suffered the first signs of turbulence at The Hawthorns after three straight losses. The demeanour of Albion's head coach does not alter significantly whether winning or losing but he has claimed the Christmas period could determine whether the club can dream of Europe or fear for their safety. West Ham, beaten by Liverpool last weekend, have won twice away from home this season and appear far more likely to survive than the two other promoted teams, Reading and Southampton. Betting: Home Evens, Away 13-5, Draw 5-2. Stat of the game: West Ham’s Mark Noble has scored his last seven successive penalty kicks. John Percy’s prediction: West Bromwich Albion 2 West Ham United 1.   Premier League Sport » Football » West Ham » West Bromwich Albion » Thom Gibbs » In Premier League   Rise of the 'football artists'   Premier League action   The 50 best images from the sporting highlights of 2012    Rooney: 10 of his best   Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement Promotions » Loading Advertisement Featured Advertising Cars Engineering VistaPrint Loading Search for Engineering Jobs in the UK and overseas Search for the full range of VistaPrint services MORE FROM TELEGRAPH.CO.UK Canon   Trivia game: name the famous landmarks View Telegraph Shop   Get the top 10 gift ideas for this Christmas from Telegraph Shop View Telegraph Books   Our collection of the greatest obits ever, edited by Harry de Quetteville View LifeBook   Give someone a unique and thoughtful gift this Christmas View Back to top HOME Rugby Union England Club Football Teams Fixtures Results News Cricket World Cup 2011 England Live Scoreboards Formula One Lewis Hamilton Jenson Button F1 Live Finance Olympics London 2012 Schedule Olympic Events Paralympics Athletics Cycling Sailing Swimming Lifestyle Tennis Andy Murray Roger Federer ATP Tour Golf Tiger Woods European Tour US Tour Comment Contact Us Telegraph Journalists Advertising Fantasy Football Announcements Reader Prints Follow Us Apps Epaper Expat Promotions Subscriber Syndication © Copyright of Telegraph Media Group Limited 2012 Terms and Conditions Today's News Archive Style Book Weather Forecast
