Keeping the faith: Obinna is optimistic[LNB]Victor Obinna has urged patience from West Ham fans after the club's poor start to the season. [LNB]The Hammers are yet to register a point this campaign following defeats to Aston Villa, Bolton and Manchester United. [LNB]Manager Avram Grant now faces the daunting task of hosting Barclays Premier League champions Chelsea as he looks to quash speculation about his future at the Hammers by dragging the club off the bottom of the table. [LNB]Obinna, who signed on a season-long loan from Inter Milan last month, says it is only a matter of time before the team start winning games, and maintains that pulling off a shock result against their London rivals on Saturday is a possibility. [LNB]'The manager is working on that and we just need a little time for the players to come together,' the Nigerian told West Ham's website. [LNB]'We need to work with each other and understand our strengths. Why can't we do something against Chelsea? [LNB]'Everything is possible in football. You can never tell. Anything can happen in 90 minutes.'[LNB] Obinna, a pacy striker once tipped for greatness for former Inter boss Jose Mourinho, may get his first taste of English football this weekend. [LNB]Carlton Cole and Frederic Piquionne have both struggled in front of goal so far this season, with the Hammers' only league strike coming courtesy of a Mark Noble penalty against the Trotters three weeks ago. [LNB]Obinna is well aware of how hard it will be to overcome the champions, who have a 100 per cent record so far this term, but is hoping that Grant gives him a chance on Saturday. [LNB]'I have been working hard,' the striker said. 'It has been very tough and I am preparing for the games coming ahead. [LNB]'I would like to be involved against Chelsea if the manager decides. I believe it is going to be one of the toughest games we have played this season.'[LNB] West Ham new boy Ruud Boffin warns Robert Green: I want your place in the teamSign up to our FREE Fantasy Football game - with £40,000 in prize money up for grabsEx-West Ham defender Davenport joins non-league Wootton Blue CrossLike father like son!
