Upson feels sales are possible

Matthew Upson has admitted he does not know whether he will be sold to ease West Ham's financial concerns. Rumours persist over the severity of the problems, with reports at the weekend suggesting the likes of Upson, Robert Green and Carlton Cole could all be made available to help balance the books. And while Upson is yet to discover whether he will be made available, he believes he may soon have to consider his options. "West Ham's financial predicament is quite well noted," he said in The People. "Whether or not that means someone will have to be sold, I don't know, but I don't think the outlook is great financially. "It hasn't been mentioned to me that we need to sell but, if there was a situation where they accepted an offer and it was down to me whether I wanted to move, I would have to look at the club in question and make a decision." Upson, 30, has been linked with Manchester City and Aston Villa.
