Jussi made a total of 527 appearance for Bolton Wanderers spanning a 15 year career for The Trotters. During his time their, Jaskelainen had been one of their most important players.

Although Jaaskelainen was seen picking the ball out of his net the majority of time – his hard work and energy, combined with outstanding athleticism and concentration levels had helped Bolton stay in The Premier League for over a decade.

In 2012, The Premier League 20 Seasons Awards, a double save from Jaaskelainen against Manchester United came third in a poll deciding the best save in the history of The Premier League. During the final year of his career at Bolton – Jaaskelainen was relegated to the bench. An increase in frustration due to lack of playing time saw Jaaskelainen seek pastures new in the summer.

Bolton were relegated and Jaaskelainen rejected their offer of a two year deal. He is now playing for West Ham United as their number one. At the age of 37 and having played in The Premier League for almost 16 years now – he remains one of the most reliable and experienced goal keepers out there.
