Sunderland plan £5m raid for Hammers defender Collins
Sunderland have launched a £5million raid for West Ham centre back James Collins after Steve Bruce boosted his defence with the capture of out-of-contract Paraguay skipper Paulo da Silva on a three-year deal from Mexican side Toluca.
The Wales international, 25, returned to action for West Ham in October last year after a nine-month absence with severe knee-ligament damage and has also attracted interest from Celtic.
