Sam Allardyce has wasted no time in trimming his squad down in preparation for a summer of activity of he looks to build a squad capable of retaining Premier League status next season.

Julien Faubert, Abdoulaye Faye, Papa Bouba Diop, John Carew, Frank Nouble and Olly Lee will all leave West Ham United when their current contracts end on June 30th.

The longest serving player to leave the club will be Julien Faubert after a spell of five years including his loan spell with Real Madrid (no, seriously!).

Carew, Faye and Diop all joined the Hammers last summer and between them contributed little to West Ham’s promotion.  Carew only scored 2 goals in his 21 appearances and Diop and Faye both missed significant periods through injury.

Henri Lansbury has also left the club to return to Arsenal following the end of his loan spell.
