Chairman: Simon Jordan in action for Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park during a Testimonial match in 2006[LNB]Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan has hinted he could be prepared to sell the club to David Gold, once Jordan's bitter enemy. [LNB]There has been speculation surrounding a Gold takeover at Selhurst Park and Jordan claims the stories originate from the former Birmingham City owner or his associates.[LNB]Gold is keen to return to football after ending his 16-year tenure at St Andrews but wants to find a club closer to his home in Surrey and Palace - who were put up for sale by Jordan over a year ago - would appear the obvious choice, although he has also been linked with Charlton and West Ham. [LNB]Jordan and Gold have enjoyed a combustible relationship. The Eagles chairman was infuriated when Birmingham lured his former manager Steve Bruce to the west midlands in 2001. [LNB]But Jordan insists the pair have now settled their differences and said: 'All that stuff is in the past. But at the moment [any sale] is hypothetical. [LNB]'There has been no enquiry and no offer, despite the stories appearing in the media, which have all come from the David Gold camp.'[LNB] As Steve Bruce prepares for a return to Birmingham, we track down admirersDavid Gold: I could join forces again with Sullivan at West HamGold leaves Birmingham after rejecting offer from new ownerTHE LIST: Sportsmail's top 50 sporting feuds of all time, Nos 10-1[LNB]  Explore more:People:Steve Bruce, Simon Jordan, David GoldPlaces:Surrey, Birmingham
