Sexual assault case against West Ham defender Manuel da Costa begins in London

West Ham defender Manuel da Costa arrived at court today for the start of his trial over sexual assault allegations.[LNB]Da Costa was charged following an alleged incident in an east London nightclub.[LNB]He appeared at Redbridge Magistrates' Court charged with sexual assault and common assault on a woman.[LNB] Case: Defender Manuel da Costa appeared in court today over sexual assault claims[LNB]The 24-year-old, of Wards Wharf Approach, Newham, east London, wasarrested in October and bailed by police pending further inquiries.[LNB]ScotlandYard said allegations had been made by a woman in her early 20s at aneast London police station in the early hours of October 17.
