Sam expects goals from Carew
West Ham manager Sam Allardyce has backed John Carew to hit at least 12 goals this season.[LNB] Norway striker Carew opened his account for the Hammers with a towering header after coming off the bench for Carlton Cole to secure a 2-2 draw at Crystal Palace.[LNB]"We are expecting John to score the 12-15 mark, the same as Carlton," said Allardyce.[LNB]"Getting off the mark will do him a lot of good and a little back-header nearly won it for us at the end.[LNB]"Carlton had done a good job but he tired in the heat, so John came on and it brought a little bit more energy into our team."
