Former West Ham chairman Eggert Magnusson is ready to step in to save the cash-strapped club - but only at a cut-price rate.[LNB]Wear your colours with pride: Eggert Magnusson as West Ham chairman two years ago[LNB]The 62-year-old Icelandic biscuit baron was part of a 2006 Upton Park buyout that crumbled with the recession and saw the Hammers snapped up by CB Holdings.[LNB]But Magnusson still lives in London and wants to return to the club he still regards as his own after his time at the helm ended when ex-owner Bjorgolfur Gudmundsson's Icelandic banking empire collapsed with debts of £300m and he sold to CB Holdings - owned by Icelandic bank Straumur.[LNB]However, with the club near the foot of the Premier League, manager Gianfranco Zola a reported target for Serie A side Napoli, and reports of all the players being up for sale, Straumur chief Andrew Bernhardt has been in negotiations with potential buyers from Asia and America - and according to reports in The Sun he is fully aware of Magnusson's interest.[LNB]However, Magnusson is not willing to meet the current asking rate of £100m and will be keeping a keen eye on Bernhardt's progress.[LNB] Who owns your club?
