West Ham defender Winston Reid insists their confidence has not been dented by last weekend's shock defeat by Cardiff.[LNB] The Hammers, under new boss Sam Allardyce, are among the favourites for promotion but missed a host of chances at Upton Park last Sunday and were hit with a sucker-punch when Kenny Miller scored the winner in stoppage time.[LNB]But New Zealand international Reid said: "The manager has been great. We are looking forward to the season ahead, we have only played one game so there is a lot to look forward to here.[LNB]"We all believe in ourselves and the team that we can do what is required to get us up. It's long season with a lot of games and we are confident.[LNB]"There is a lot of belief in the team and hopefully we can show that in our games."
