Pulis hopes for Collins deal
Stoke City boss Tony Pulis remains hopeful of agreeing personal terms to sign West Ham United defender James Collins.
Skysports.com revealed earlier this week that the Potters had lined up a move for the Wales international, with the two clubs agreeing a £5million fee.
However, Collins has yet to accept a move to the Britannia Stadium, with Pulis admitting the two parties are 'a little bit apart'.
Pulis is not giving up his pursuit of the centre-half, though, and is optimistic of concluding a deal before the close of the transfer window.
"I think both sides are only a little bit apart on that one," Pulis told The Sentinel.
"I just hope we can all get around the table again.
"I certainly don't think it's dead and he's a player I would like, along with others before the end of the transfer deadline."
Collins started West Ham's opening game of the season against Wolves last weekend, but injuries have restricted the 25-year-old to just 63 appearances since his move from Cardiff in 2005.
