Posh announce Hammers friendly
Peterborough will play host to West Ham in a friendly on Wednesday 14 July as they prepare for life in League One under new boss Gary Johnson.[LNB] The fixture kicks-off the celebrations for Posh's 50th year in the Football League.[LNB]Director of football Barry Fry told the club's official website: "West Ham have kindly agreed to send their full first-team to London Road for the opening of our 50th Anniversary year in the Football League.[LNB]"I am grateful to West Ham for agreeing to send their first-team. It starts a new era for Gary Johnson as he embarks on his first full season in charge, he is trying to assemble a very strong squad to give us the best possible chance of regaining our Championship status."
