West Ham's summer signing Frederic Piquionne has no qualms about battling it out with a host of strikers for a first-team place with the club.[LNB] The former Portsmouth loanee sealed a £1million move to Upton Park after following manager Avram Grant to the club.[LNB]Piquionne has joined fellow striker Carlton Cole, Benni McCarthy and Zavon Hines while Loic Remy is also being linked.[LNB]The French marksman believes competition is only good for the club as it will ensure everyone maintains high standards.[LNB]Last season was a struggle for Piquionne at Pompey although he think West Ham are capable of a top ten finish this term.[LNB]"It's good for the club to have good players in the squad and competition," said Piquionne.[LNB]"It depends how the manager wants to play - with one or two strikers - but I am training hard to be in the team.[LNB]"Everything is very good here. I have been training two sessions a day for a week, and I am fit.[LNB]"I think we have the team to compete in the top 10 and maybe win the Cup. It would be very nice.[LNB]"When Avram called me to come and play for West Ham I said 'yes'."
