West Ham defender Calum Davenport is back in training at the Premier League club, with a 15in scar clearly visible in his leg after an alleged stabbing which resulted in the player losing half the blood from his body when a main artery was pierced.

Davenport believes blood transfusions saved his life following the incident involving his pregnant sister and her boyfriend outside his mother's house last August.
