Pet hate to be dumped

West Ham's owners are set to follow Chelsea in dumping their assistant manager this week. The owners are under pressure to act decisively following the Hammers’ disastrous start to the season that has seen them win only once. Zeljko Petrovic was appointed as Avram Grant’s number 2 just before the start of the season and his training methods and arrogance have been cited as a reason for discontent within the squad. A number of media sources have been circling stories of unrest in the camp and according to some, the owners are set to act in order to save Avram Grant from the immediate chop. West Ham face Wigan at the Boleyn Ground this weekend where a defeat would almost certainly mean that  Grant would have to be shown the door if the Hammers are to have any hope of avoiding relegation this season.
