Paolo Di Canio wants a West Ham return[LNB]Former West Ham forward Paolo Di Canio believes he is on the brink of securing a coaching position in England next season - and said he would 'give everything' if he ended up at Upton Park.[LNB]The 42-year-old has a coaching license and has been linked with a return to the Hammers following their relegation from the Barclays Premier League under Avram Grant, who was swiftly relieved of his duties.[LNB]'I believe my future will be in England,' Di Canio said. 'In the next few days something will happen, perhaps in an inferior division. [LNB]'English football is loyal, full of pride and I believe I'm close to returning to England. [LNB]'It is the country that I most love from a football standpoint.'[LNB] The former Sheffield Wednesday and Celtic striker spent a total of seven years in the Premiership, four of which were at West Ham. [LNB]'I am very saddened by West Ham's relegation,' he said. 'This team has always been in my heart. [LNB]'They have unique supporters. I would give everything for West Ham. [LNB]'I even have a Hammers tattoo.'[LNB]Despite his clear love for the club, Di Canio may have his work cut out convicing the West Ham hierarchy to hand him the reins at the relegated club. [LNB]Hammers co-chairman David Sullivan has appeared to rule out appointing fans' favourite Di Canio despite mounting speculation linking the Italian with the vacant hotseat.[LNB] Who wants the job? Martin O'Neill (left) and Dave Jones (right) are among the frontrunners for the post[LNB]Hesaid: 'The problem with Paolo is, although the fans would love it, I'm being realistic and he has no experience whatsoever being a manager.[LNB]'If you look at first-season managers the failure rate is enormous. If he'd done a season anywhere and was, say, top of Serie B in Italy with a team, I'd take the chance.[LNB]'My heart would say Paolo and the fans would say Paolo. But with someone who's a complete novice as a manager, with no experience, you just can't go with it.'[LNB] When in Rome...
