No Diamanti deal reached - Livorno chief

West Ham have been told to improve their offer if they want to acquire Livorno striker Alessandro Diamanti. The 26-year-old is under contract with the Tuscan team until June 2013 and the Serie A outfit are not keen to sell a player who scored 16 goals last season, including a vitally important three strikes in the promotion play-offs. Livorno president Aldo Spinelli claims the Hammers have made a bid for his star hitman but says no agreement has been reached. He said: "For the time being, we have not received any satisfying offers. There is nothing more to add. "But Diamanti must remain calm, he is under contract and he must only think of playing. The rest, we will consider in the next coming days."
