No break for Behrami

Gianfranco Zola is hopeful of having Valon Behrami back sooner rather than later after tests confirmed the midfielder did not break his ankle against Manchester City. West Ham fans feared the worst on Sunday when Behrami was stretchered off and taken to hospital in an ambulance during the 1-0 victory having twisted his knee attempting a tackle. However, the Hammers have been boosted by MRI results that have shown the Serbian-born Swiss international did not break or fracture anything against Mark Hughes' side. Although West Ham boss Zola says it is too early to speculate how long the 23-year-old may be on the sidelines, he is hoping to have his first-team regular back sooner rather than later. "Hopefully we are going to have him back soon but it is too early for us to assess him right now," he told the club's official website. "Hopefully it is not going to be too bad as the boy is a really important player for us - on the pitch and off the pitch as well."
