Neill could Hammer out deal

West Ham captain Lucas Neill has rejected the terms of a new contract offer but has not ruled out staying with the club. The Australian, who joined West Ham from Blackburn in January 2007, is due to reach the end of his current deal at the end of June. Neill's agent Darren Jackson indicated interest from other clubs in the 31-year-old defender, but confirmed an extension to his stay at West Ham remained an option. Jackson told Sky Sports News: "The last offer was declined because Lucas didn't feel it reflected his value as a player and captain. "Negotiations have been amicable and we hope we can still reach an agreement. The door remains open for West Ham and Lucas. Obviously the longer it goes on, the more likely it's not going to happen. "There has been other interest from clubs in England and in Europe but it's still very early stages. Lucas is hopeful something can be agreed with West Ham."
