McCarthy challenges Wolves stars

Wolves manager Mick McCarthy insists first team places are still available for the opening Premier League game with West Ham. McCarthy has challenged his players to put themselves in contention to face the Hammers as they prepare for life back in the top flight. He said: "I've told the players they are fighting against me to play against West Ham, they are fighting against themselves and each other. "I will pick the best 11 regardless of the transfer ticket (fee) or the name. It doesn't bother me. I will pick the best 11 that I think. "There are two more games to play before the season starts and there is room to disrupt someone's position."
