Kevin Mitchell to fight British rival John Murray at Wembley

Kevin Mitchell will make his much-anticipated return to the ring when he takes on European lightweight champion John Murray in a mouth-watering British showdown at Wembley Arena on April 2.[LNB]The 26-year-old Dagenham Destroyer has not fought since his bitterly disappointing third round KO by Australian Michael Katsidis in front of over 20,000 home fans at Upton Park last May.[LNB]But promoter Frank Warren has offered him a make-or-break chance to avenge that WBO lightweight title eliminator loss facing stable rival, and Warren's latest signing, Murray on the exciting undercard of Nathan Cleverly v Jurgen Braehmer.[LNB] Fighting back: Kevin Mitchell (R) is to return to the ring for the first time since his defeat to Michael Katsidis at Upton Park last May[LNB]The promising Manchester fighter, also 26, poses a huge threat to Mitchell with an impressive unbeaten record in 30 bouts - the longest winning streak in British boxing -  with 18 victories coming by way of knockout.[LNB]Murray, ranked third by the WBC, is hoping to use his second defence of the European belt as a springboard to a future world title clash againstMexican holder Humberto Soto.
